Vercel's October 2026 AI Gateway Production Index, published October 15, prints Jev at 35.3% of paid teams in its first two weeks, nearly double Sonnet 5.5 at 18.1%. TechCrunch, October 16, 15:33 UTC, rounds that to 35%. The September 18 post still prints nearly 13% of paid teams in the first 24 hours.

Vercel published a blog post on September 18 titled “Jev is the fastest-adopted model in AI Gateway history.” The company account posted the same numbers that evening.

Within 24 hours of the Gateway listing, the post says, Jev was being used by nearly 13% of paid teams. That is twice as many as the GPT-5.6 family and more than six times Fable 5.1. Jev passed every comparison model in its first twelve hours. It reached a tenth of teams within 18 hours; the other recent launches in the chart stayed below 7% after a full day.

The authors are Amelia Charles, Harpreet Arora, and Eric Dodds. They write that first-day adoption was unmatched among recent launches. “The next test,” they add, “is whether that early adoption lasts.” The post repeats TypeSafe’s own workflow table (up to 194 times faster and 445 times cheaper) as company reporting, not a Vercel rerun.

The model card lists typesafe-ai/jev with Free on both input and output, and a line that promotional pricing ends on September 25, 2026. On September 19 the Vercel Developers account posted that Jev is free on the Gateway until that date. We opened the card again on September 26. It still listed Free for input and output, for TypeSafe AI and for DigitalOcean, with a 32K context, and it still printed “Promotional pricing ends on September 25, 2026.” That date had already passed. We did not send a Gateway request on the 26th.

A September 18 addendum on the AI Gateway Production Index restates the 24-hour paid-team share. That monthly report still covers traffic through August. We did not send a Gateway request.

The full scorecard prints spend share 0.3% and a composite score 65.9, rank 6 on that table. A later paragraph prints Jev at 1% of September tokens and 0.15% of spend. Open-weight models process more than seven in ten gateway tokens and nearly one in four dollars.

The September 18 blog by Amelia Charles, Harpreet Arora, and Eric Dodds is the source for the adoption figures: nearly 13% of paid teams by hour 24, twice the GPT-5.6 family, more than six times Fable 5.1, and a tenth of teams within 18 hours while other recent launches stayed below 7% after a full day.

Vercel's own account posted the 13% / 2x / 6x line the same evening and linked the post. The model card lists input and output as Free and says promotional pricing ends on September 25, 2026.

Opened again on September 26, the card still printed Free for input and output on both TypeSafe AI and DigitalOcean, context 32K, and the same September 25 end date. The Developers account repeated that cutoff on September 19.

These are Vercel Gateway telemetry on paid teams, not TypeSafe console keys and not a quality eval. We did not pull the underlying table.
