How a story gets on this desk
Jev News rewrites public posts on X and the pages those posts cite. We do not copy the post. Original URLs sit at the bottom of each article and again on the sources index.
What counts as a story
A story needs a primary source and a fact that is not already in the digest. Recaps of the Almeida launch, the Browser Use flights clip, or the Awesome Jev repo list stay out even when the tweet is new. A later post can reopen a used URL if it adds a number, a repository, or a result the earlier article does not have.
Speed, price, and accuracy figures are claims from the people who published them unless a third party ran the same test. We say who measured what. TypeSafe's Master Customer Agreement section 2.3(f) forbids customers from publishing benchmarks or performance information about the Services. Several stories report numbers people posted anyway. We did not ask TypeSafe whether those posts are permitted.
This site's reading
Each article ends with three editorial notes. They are this desk's reading of the sources, not TypeSafe copy.
- Verify checks the reported claims against the primary post, the official docs, and any repository the post points to. If we did not rerun a demo, the note says so.
- Compare places the work next to other stories on this site: same pattern, different host, or a narrower sample.
- Terms defines the words the article leans on. Those definitions are collected on the terms page.
Desk pages
Start is a short reading order. Timeline is the same stories in date order. Patterns is this desk's reading of setups that show up more than once. Limits is TypeSafe's failure modes plus misses from later stories. Compare is similar tests placed next to each other. Access is the public listings those stories cite. Evals is the measurements, with the caveat that came with each one. FAQ is short answers from the same material. People and repos index the authors and GitHub projects already in the articles. Those pages rest on claims already in the stories.
What we skip
Token promos, clips that do not describe a mechanism, and live-search noise stay off the desk. Official product material lives at typesafe.ai and docs.typesafe.ai. This site is not affiliated with TypeSafe AI.
